Welcome to my blog! I read and follow so many people’s blogs and realized I have observations and experiences worth sharing. Many blogs focus on one or two aspects of life. I love learning and doing so many things, that this blog is a potpourri of my experiences and observations. As I am entering my 7th decade, I have many traditional talents–quilt making, sewing clothing, vegetable gardening, canning and preserving food, bread making. I will be sharing some of my knowledge on those topics.
I have strong opinions and freely state them. I do not expect anyone to agree with me, but I do expect everyone to respect my right to these opinions–I will respect your right to differ with me.
I have taught traditional school for 15 years before entering nursing school and becoming a nurse. I then practiced nursing for 30 years, much of it as a home health nurse teaching patients and their families to perform procedures themselves. Then I taught nursing for 5 years before retiring. I am now homeschooling my 10 year old granddaughter and receiving a brand new education as we learn how to make this work.
Explore all my pages. There are a lot of recipes and my work with Job’s Daughters and other Masonic organizations is very apparent. Feel free to make comments, but please be civil. Thanks again for visiting.
